Pananet biz Africa is seeking an Alumni Coordinator to manage and nurture our growing community of program graduates. Your mission is to keep our alumni engaged, track their long-term growth, and facilitate "give-back" opportunities where successful graduates mentor current cohorts. You are the guardian of our long-term impact and network effects

Key Responsibilities

  • Community Management: Build and maintain an active alumni platform (e.g., specialized Slack, LinkedIn groups, or a dedicated portal) to foster peer-to-peer networking.

  • Long-term Tracking: Work with the MEL Officer to collect data on alumni success (revenue, jobs, funding) years after they leave our programs.

  • Mentor Matching: Identify successful alumni who can serve as mentors, speakers, or judges for new incubation and acceleration cohorts.

  • Event Coordination: Organize exclusive "Alumni-Only" events, masterclasses, and networking mixers to keep graduates connected to Pananet's resources.

  • Benefit Programs: Negotiate exclusive "perks" or discounts for alumni with corporate partners like software providers or legal firms.

  • Success Storytelling: Identify "star alumni" and collaborate with the Communications team to produce case studies that attract new donors and partners. 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience: 2–3 years in Relationship Management, Community Building, or Alumni Relations. Experience in a University or Tech Hub environment is ideal.

  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional "people skills" with the ability to maintain relationships with high-achieving, busy founders.

  • Database Management: Proficient in using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to segment and track a large network of contacts.

  • Event Management: Proven ability to plan and execute both virtual and in-person networking events.

  • Communication: Warm, engaging, and professional writing style for newsletters and community updates.
